[cmucl-help] CMUCL and WSL?

I have installed Ubuntu (from Microsoft Store) on WSL with the intent of
seeing if CMUCL will run but have not gotten around to locating the
distribution for it as yet. I haven't used Unix in a dozen years and
seem to have forgotten a lot about it.

If I do manage to get it going I will let you know.

But, there is the new Windows Subsystem for Linux that might offer some hope. Has anyone got CMUCL working with WSL? We already have X servers on the Windows desktops.

Basically I'll be giving CMUCL a spin to see if we can use it on projects and I'm looking for the path of least resistance. Even a FreeBSD VM might raise some eyebrows, so I'm really hoping for WSL.
